We are a female owned and operated, private practice optometry clinic in Aurora, Colorado.

We provide services including: comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, medical eye exams, refractive surgery co-management, myopia management, and diabetic ocular health screenings. We also sell eyewear and materials such as soft contact lenses, scleral lenses, glasses and sunglasses.

Dr. Sarah Moore, O.D.

Leading our team at Del Mar Family Eye Care is Dr. Sarah Moore, a passionate and experienced optometrist who truly believes that helping others see clearly is one of life’s greatest privileges.

Dr. Moore grew up in Saint Louis, Missouri, where her own experience with severe nearsightedness inspired her to become an optometrist. After receiving her first pair of contact lenses at age nine, she was amazed by the clarity they provided and knew she wanted to help others experience that same transformation. She went on to earn a Biology degree from Truman State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Optometry. During her studies, Dr. Moore worked as an optician in a pediatric and vision therapy practice, where two female optometrists mentored her and inspired the patient-centered approach she practices today.

After graduation, Dr. Moore moved to Aurora, CO, where she built her career around community-focused eye care. She regularly volunteers at local health and vision screenings, school career fairs, and senior programs, reflecting her commitment to making quality eye care accessible to all.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Moore enjoys exploring the outdoors through camping, paddleboarding, and swimming. She’s also passionate about reading and listening to live music. At home, she enjoys time with her rescue dog, Remy.

We believe in giving back to the community that supports us. We are an active and positive presence in our local area, participating in various events and initiatives that promote eye health and overall well-being.

We regularly partner with local schools and organizations to provide educational workshops and free eye screenings, ensuring everyone can access quality eye care. Our team volunteers at community health fairs and participates in charity events, always striving to raise awareness about the importance of eye health.

Being active in the Aurora community is not just something we do; it's a core part of who we are. We are honored to serve our community inside and outside the practice, helping create a healthier, happier environment for all.
