Our Vision
Sarah and Mayra met while working together at a clinic in 2015. With Sarah as the doctor and Mayra as the translator, we came across many Spanish speaking patients who felt their previous exams at other clinics had been rushed, or incomplete, or that very little was explained about their results. It was heartbreaking on occasion as patients missed critical diagnosis information or referral recommendations.
We decided then, that we should build our own clinic with the goal to make everyone feel welcome and provide quality care for those in need. In 2019, the private practice where we had been working was sold to a private equity group, and everything changed. Exam times were rushed, employees were treated poorly, and patient care suffered. Mayra left the practice and found work at a LASIK center. Sarah resigned and started making plans to open the new practice. In the meantime,
Mayra’s LASIK office was sold to private equity, forcing her to go through another transition that decreased the quality of care for patients. As COVID raged on, the new practice plans were delayed. Finally, in 2022, we found a location, not far from Mayra’s childhood home, and planted roots. We opened quietly in March of 2023. Our mission is to provide quality eye care to an underserved community.
We love meeting patients from all over the world. It is important to us that our patients leave with all of their questions answered. We also work with community primary care providers and local ophthalmologists to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and that we are able to address systemic health concerns.

Daysi is passionate about eye care because it connects her love for health, wellness, and patient education. She enjoys helping patients understand how their ocular health relates to their overall well-being. Outside the office, Daysi loves traveling, trying new activities like swimming and snowboarding, and spending time with her Shih Tzu, Stella. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Optician & Style Expert
With more than five years of experience as an optician, Rosa enjoys guiding patients toward the perfect frames that match both their vision needs and their personal style. She loves working with a team that feels like family and makes every day enjoyable. When she’s not at the practice, Rosa enjoys nature with her German Shepherd, Molly. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Patient Advocate & Long-Time Eye Care Professional
With over ten years in eye care, Mayra is passionate about ensuring every patient feels heard, understood, and confident about their ocular health. She loves being part of a compassionate team that truly puts patients first. Originally trained in cosmetology, Mayra brings creativity and warmth to her role. Outside work, she enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her Shih Tzu, Beethoven. She is fluent in Spanish.
